You Lie!
Okay, maybe it is rude to interrupt someone while they are giving a speech, but it is more rude to lie to the American people and then steal more of their money to pay for the program you lied about, so I thought it was awesome when Rep. Joe Wilson heckled Obama during his healthcare speech. Anything that undermines the president (or any government official) is a plus in my book. What was not awesome was his immediate apology. What a pussy! It would have been the perfect time to put a nail in the coffin of Obama’s horrible healthcare plan. Rep. Wilson should have presented a draft of a bill that clearly stated that illegal immigrants would get coverage. This would have completely undermined the president and his plans, but we got an apology instead. Decorum over truth I guess.

“Anything that undermines the president (or any government official) is a plus in my book.” I find it a real shame that you would show disrespect for any authority figure.
Show me the the proof that illegal immigrants would get coverage. They do now anyway because of our failed health system. We may have the best medical technology but the worst system. We need reform, whether you agree with or not on Pres. Obama’s plan–we need reform. Maybe tiered premiums is a way to go.

I find it a real shame that you blindly respect any authority figure. Respect is earned not given.
There is no provision for having to prove citizenship in the bill (as of now, could change) so in practice the bill will allow for coverage for illegal immigrants.
The reform we need is less regulation and interference from the government. Then medical coverage will be affordable. People see the high cost of medical care and then cry for the government to do something about it. When in fact we are in this mess because of previous socialistic government programs (i.e. medicare).
The fact of the matter is that it costs a lot of money to get the education it requires to become a doctor and/or a medical researcher. In addition it is a field a relatively few people have the aptitude to enter so they definitely deserve high salaries which in turn drive up the costs. Technology costs money.
